Total Signs MoU With Dubai Police To Re-Launch Road Safety Awareness Programmes

Total in the UAE re-launched its Road Safety awareness programmes with the signing of a memorandum of understanding, MoU, with Dubai police.

The agreement was signed by Major-General Mohammed Saif Al Zafin, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Operations, and Hatem Nuseibeh, President Total E&P UAE and Total's Country Chair in the UAE in the presence of Manoelle Lepoutre, Senior Vice President Civil Society Engagement of Total Group and Managing Director of Total Foundation and Thibaud de Lisle, Managing Director of Total Marketing Middle East.

On the same occasion, delegates from Total and Dubai Police team visited Total Traffic Park installed in Al Baraa Kindergarten public school (Dubai). Total Traffic Park serves as a learning center for children between the ages from 5 – 9 to raise their awareness on the right behaviour while on road.

The partnership agreement includes the launch of an integrated plan and a series of awareness-raising initiatives and programmes, through the coordination of the General Directorate of Traffic with all the visual and audio media and local newspapers that wish to cover awareness campaigns and community initiatives. Total will provide traffic awareness services and community initiatives implemented by the campaign management and traffic awareness department of the General Directorate of Traffic, marketing and promotion of community campaigns and initiatives.

Speaking on the occasion Manoelle Lepoutre, said, "Under the Total Foundation label, Total Group and affiliates daily work with prominent partners to ensure the strong impact of its initiatives on the society. We thank Dubai Police for enhancing our contribution to road safety as it a core component of our responsibility as an industrial company".

Hatem Nuseibeh, President Total E&P UAE and Total's Country Chair in the UAE, concurred to her views and said, "As a company committed to its host country, Total in the UAE is proud to pursue its collaboration with Dubai Police. We strongly believe in the importance of providing to our long term partner, the tools that the local communities need to permit a safer mobility across the UAE".
